World Osteoporosis Day is observed annually on the 20th of October. Our client that was organizing a press event in order to explain the significance of this day chose our venue because they agree with our stance on organic and premium ingredients. The client also requested that all of the sweet and savoury canapés feature some sort of milk product, as milk products are a wonderful source of calcium.
Hence we came up with a menu, of lemon butter-cream cupcakes, ‘bird’s milk’ shots (a traditional Hungarian vanilla and meringue dessert), mini panna cottas, mini cream slices, tiny cherry-cheesecakes and mini profiteroles.
The savoury canapés all featured either goat’s or cheddar cheese. The one I liked to most would have to have been the take on lox and cream cheese bagels. Instead of cream cheese I made a goat cheese, purple onion and caper spread. Then served it on a mini pretzel/bagel with some Scottish hardwood smoked salmon.
Guests were also served milkshakes and fresh lemonade.
We believe that all special events need to be custom-tailored to the client’s exact requirements and we never use the same menu twice. Everyone that decides to do a function at our venue or asks us to do outside catering for them receives something special and unique.
