These were the canapes, cookies, cocktails and macarons we did for the Swarovski Christmas customer appreciation party at the Váci utca flagship store.
The client wanted something fun, so the treats included macaron ‘snowmen’, intricately iced cookies, ‘candy cane’ and ‘gingerbread men’ bonbons, as well as miniature Hungarian beigli. We wanted to bring different textures to already familiar items. Why just do a traditional gingrebread man when you can do one as a bonbon, or why slice a beigli into bite sized pieces when you can make the whole beigli itself bite sized?
The savoury canapes included, cured beef with mustard and corn dressing, smoked salmon with cheese spread, roasted beetroot with walnut dressing and rosemary roasted turkey with a chesnut and fennel sauce.
The various macarons were my favourite, they included mulled wine ganache with a wine jelly, mint and chocolate and the snowmen were filled with a delicious Bailey’s ganache. I really liked the decorations on these pieces and look forward to doing cool things like these in the future.
